MOUNTAIN BIKING
We are also near one of the premier Mountain Biking sites in the U.S.. DuPont State Park is host to
dozens of beginning to advanced mountain bike trails. In this wonderful park, one can visit unmatched waterfalls
on hidden mountain trails under the canopy of evergreen and deciduous old growth forest. This area is also a meca
for bird watchers. Not to be overlooked is the spectacular shows that the lighting bugs (fire-flies) put on between
May and August.

HIKING/NATURE TRAILS/BIRD WATCHING/WATERFALLS
Of particular interest: Raven Cliff State Park, Table Rock, Jones Gap, and Dupont State Forest all less than 5
miles away "as the crow flies".
Spectacular trails available for either 1/2 or full day hikes, going in all directions (4-8 hour hikes). Nearby
access to: Raven Cliff Falls, Upper Salauda River, Cold Branch Stream, El Lieutenant Granite Base and Cliff, Dupont
State Forest - known for Triple, Middle, Lower, and Bridal Veil Falls. Equally pleasing is Cerrick Creek located
at Table Rock State Park. Driving times to these locations is between 15 and 45 minutes. Blue Ridge Parkway, with
its magnificent vistas, and many trails can be reached in about 35 minutes by car. Also note that Blue Ridge Vistas
has apx. 1 mile of its own hiking trails all within its property limits. There are also three waterfalls of note
less than one mile from the main house. It is not uncommon to observe wild deer, geese, ducks, and an occasional
beaver on the property.
A tremendous variety of birds visit our area, including Osprey, Bald Eagle, song birds, Pileated Woodpecker, Blue
Birds, Eastern Orioles, Carolina Gold Finch, hummingbirds (all types), the rare Indigo Bunting, and Martin's Cardinals.

Featuring one house & two vacation cabins completely furnished including utilities.
Future Expansion: Buildings
featuring large meeting areas ideal for such exercises as yoga, art, meditation, and relaxation.

Together, they can accommodate up to 13 people.
