OR...From Brevard
If you decide to be bold or
foolish and it is not dark, then proceed at the intersection of Broad and Main west on Broad street for .4 miles.
Turn left at the light to get on Country Club Road. (If you go right, you would be entering 64 West to Cashiers
and Highland).
Go 2.9 miles past the Brevard High School, Brevard Racquet Club, and the Rivermore Apartments, all on your left,
until you see South Country Club on your right, which also has a bike lane sign.
Go 1.7 miles until you reach Island Ford, and turn left at the stop sign.
You are now driving on a low road with pasture on both sides of the road. Turn right after .9 miles at the 3-way
intersection onto Walnut Hollow Road .
Proceed 6.6 miles on Walnut Hollow Road to The Blue Ridge Vista Sign. On your way, you will pass the intersection
of Walnut Hollow and East Fork Road; go straight there and not right, so as not to go to Rosman.
Walnut Hollow Road now becomes
East Fork Road as you head southeast. You will pass on your way the Baptist Church on your right and Glady Fork
Road (do not take Glady Fork Road). When you see Dolly Masters Road on your right, you are almost at your destination.
Go past the first driveway
on your right, following a grey fence to the Blue Ridge Vistas sign on your right.
Turn down the driveway, going past the main house, cross the Hemlock rail bridge and proceed to either cabin 1
or cabin 2. Cabin 1 sits in the rear (shower only disability accommodations) and cabin 2 is the first cabin on
your right.
Enjoy your stay! |
